Cancer Research UK has a range of volunteer roles requiring different amounts of time - from full-time placements, to an afternoon a week, or one-off events.

Latest Opportunities
There are many volunteer roles available at our local offices across the country, our head offices in London and at home within your local community - from event organising and fundraising roles to concept testing and project work.

We have over 600 shops across the UK so there is sure to be one near you. Drop into your local shop to find out what roles are available, or visit our website to find out more - www.cancerresearchuk.org/volunteering.

Fundraising
We have about 1,000 fundraising groups across the UK. They organise all sorts of activities; anything from dinners and fashion shows to car boot sales and quiz nights. You can join an existing group or start your own!
If a group's not for you, you can still get involved with a one-off event. Either set up one of your own or come along to a Cancer Research UK organised event. For find out more visit www.cancerresearcuk.org/volunteering.

Events
We organise major fundraising events throughout the year, such as sponsored walks, runs, bike rides and abseils. We always need volunteers to help run these charity events and make them a big success! You can lend a hand on the day of an event, when we need people to take on a range of tasks throughout the day from helping to set up equipment to handing out medals and goody bags, or, become a key event volunteer where you could help organise local promotion, help staff to design an event course and coordinate a team of fellow volunteers on the day. For more information and to register online visit www.cancerresearchuk.org/volunteering and click on 'Help run a major event'.

Internships
Cancer Research UK runs an internship scheme for high calibre undergraduates and graduates looking to gain specific and general work experience in the charity. For further information visit www.cancerresearch.uk/volunteering and click on Internships.
